THE CELEBRATING COMMUNITY Receipts as of 31 Dec 2011: $159,211 Givings for Sun, 29 Jan 2012: $ 1,214 (excluding PAR) COUNTERS AND USHERS TODAY are Al Holdway and Dave Wood. Next Sunday George Lapa and George Marks will usher and count. COFFEE HOSTS today are Horst and Karin Beckmann. Next week the coffee hosts will be Jim and Marg Madsen. STUDY GROUP The study group will meet Tuesday, February 7th at 9:30am in the Parlour. We will continue our discussion on the United Church’s Statements of Faith. UCW EXECUTIVE meets in the Ladies Parlour on Tuesday, February 7th at 7:30pm. UCW UNIT EVE will meet on Monday, February 13th at 7:30pm in the Ladies Parlour. We will celebrate Valentine’s Day with a fun filled theme of love and create a craft that will surely bring back memories. Please say you will join us. For more information, please call Cindy at 514-421-4282. PANCAKE SUPPER Our wonderful Pancake Supper will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 21st with supper starting at 5:30pm. This is an annual event not to be missed. As usual, the Trailblazers have graciously accepted our invitation to lead us in song after the meal. Please advise Lynne at the office (514-685-4956) if you are planning to attend and the number of guests we hope you are bringing. We don’t want to run out of pancakes, so this is very important! DID YOU KNOW……….that if you are one of our lucky “Snow Birds” and are away for half the winter, that you can still make your presence known by signing up for PAR? This is an automatic system that will deduct an amount from your bank account every month on the same day. Call the office (514-685-4956) or Bev Baker (514-683-7631) and let them fill you in on all the details. UNITED CHURCH OBSERVER-RENEWAL TIME!! The subscription cost is $20/year. The deadline for subscriptions (new or renewed) is Sunday, March 11th. Make your cheque payable to Roxboro United Church.
