CALL TO WORSHIP
One:
We have gathered to worship God.
All: We have come seeking comfort,
 inspiration, community, and insight.
One:
We have come to open ourselves
to the power of God’s presence in our midst.
All: We have come to offer up the seasons
and the turnings in our lives,
and to ask God’s help in our learning and in our growing.

TIME WITH CHILDREN

WE HEAR GOD’S WORD

PRAYER OF APPROACH AND ILLUMINATION (unison)
Our hope is in you alone Eternal God. In our actions of presenting ourselves here today, we show that we are seeking your face, your Word and your Glory. In the reading of the scriptures, may our hearts be moved so that we act and live accordingly. May your word never depart from us so that we stay faithful in your love. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

OLD TESTAMENT Genesis 21:8-21
NEW TESTAMENT Matthew 10:24-39

REFLECTION   “Threatened Promises”

PRAYER OF RESTORATION (unison)
Gracious God, our sins are too heavy to carry, too real to hide, and too deep to undo. Forgive what our lips tremble to name, what our hearts can no longer bear, and what has become for us a consuming fire of judgment. Set us free from a past that we cannot change; open to us a future in which we can be changed; and grant us grace to grow more and more in your likeness and image. Amen.

Take our lives and use them all, for your glory and your call.

In the name and in the spirit of Jesus, we bring our gifts to you, O God. Help us to give with them a ready mind, a willing spirit, and a joyful heart. Amen.

Ø GOURMET TABLE: New this year! If you make pickles, relish, jams, jellies, mincemeat, etc, this could be the perfect contribution to our bazaar. We also need mason jars of all sizes and other smaller jars for this purpose.
Ø JEWELLRY TABLE: Vivien Lapa needs donations for her table. You may leave items at the office at any time.
If you have any questions please call Karin Beckmann, (514 684-9496) or Marg Madsen (514 684-3836).

SUMMER IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!
Our summer schedule begins June 29th. Have you thought of sending in your summer offerings before leaving on vacation instead of catching up in the fall? Even though the church is less active during the summer we still have expenses to meet and it is sometimes difficult during July and August. Please give it some prayerful thought.
